Different light sources may show different shades, too. All have a semi-opaque base to show off the colours better, some deeper than others."

I love this shadow! My review on this may not be fair though, because I've never met a purple eyeshadow I didn't like.
My camera didn't properly capture them, but Arcane Magic: Conjurer has gorgeous little flecks of green/blue that really shine in the sunligh. So you've got the purple shadow with the green/blue shimmer, and it really gives this shadow a lot of depth without being too overpowering.
